The House System at St. Patrick School plays a vital role in fostering teamwork, unity, and healthy competition among students. Every student from Grade I onwards is assigned to one of the four houses—Autumn, Winter, Spring, or Summer. Each house functions as a small community within the school, promoting cooperation, discipline, and collective participation in school activities. The system encourages students to develop a sense of belonging and pride in their house.
Regular inter-house competitions are organized throughout the academic year in sports, cultural activities, debates, quizzes, arts, and other co-curricular events. These competitions provide students with opportunities to showcase their talents, develop sportsmanship, and learn the value of teamwork. Points are awarded based on performance and participation, and the house achieving the highest score at the end of the year is recognized with a rolling trophy, encouraging healthy and constructive competition.
The House System provides leadership roles such as House Captains and student representatives, allowing students to develop organizational and leadership skills at an early stage. Under the guidance of teachers, student leaders learn to coordinate activities, motivate peers, and uphold discipline and teamwork within their houses. These responsibilities help students develop confidence, communication skills, and leadership qualities that extend beyond the classroom.
